Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk demanded explanations from Germany regarding an "unacceptable" incident involving German police deporting a migrant family across the border and leaving them on Polish territory. The Polish news website "Shujna24" published a video showing a small truck belonging to the German police entering Polish territory and dropping off 5 migrants at a parking lot in the Osinow Dolny area. Witnesses reported that the police car immediately returned to Germany afterwards. Polish police and border guards detained the family consisting of two adults and three children following a report from passersby. Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on the platform X that he would speak with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz "about an unacceptable incident involving German police and a migrant family on our side of the border" and added "the matter must be explained in detail." Polish border guards early yesterday contacted German border authorities demanding clarification of the incident. They considered the actions of the German police to be "a violation of principles between the two entities, as well as the law regulating the process of transporting individuals." Polish border guards emphasized that "German authorities cannot make such arbitrary decisions." Deputy Interior Minister of Poland, Krzysztof Murdzek, stated that his country "will not tolerate this type of behavior." The Polish news agency quoted Murdzek as saying "everything must be done in accordance with the law and procedures." Officials from both countries are scheduled to discuss the issue today, Tuesday.
